The Situation
After limited success with a myriad of contingency-based legal search firms, the management committee of a top tier law firm decided to pursue retained search for the first time in its 55 year history. After interviewing several retained search firms, this law firm turned to Ray & Berndtson to assist in its efforts to attract a premier corporate securities partner to build a practice for its office.
The Search
Within 60 days of commencing the assignment, Ray & Berndtson developed five candidates from several well known law firms. The firm ultimately selected a high profile candidate with substantial portable business from a top five law firm.
